What prompted you to start nutrition coaching with DeNovo Nutrition?

I wanted healthy habits that I actually like and want to do.

What are 3-4 things that you GAINED throughout this experience?

I have gained the ability to make effective plans for creating the change I want in my life. I’ve also gained confidence in myself that I actually can change and I’m really proud of myself.

What are 2-3 things that you LOST?

I have lost the all or nothing mindset that so often crippled me.

What is the biggest thing that you have learned since starting nutrition coaching?

So many things, but the one that really sticks out to me is that I don’t need bandwidth to create and maintain healthy habits, all I need is to make a plan. That shift in thinking has been EVERYTHING.

What were you struggling with before you signed up for our nutrition program?

Everything (all the “healthy” things) felt too hard, too much, not something I really wanted to do. So I’d stick with something short term, see some results, then get burned out and quit, regaining any pounds I lost or whatever. I’ve don’t that most of my life and it sucked. I felt like a failure.

How did our nutrition program help solve that problem?

I realize now that I am not the problem! It was the all or nothing attitude, the diet culture of it all, and that the systems I was trying were the problem, not me. Jenny helped me create new habits with teeny tiny changes, things that I actually liked and felt excited about and wanted to do. With her help, I have transformed what was once shame-inducing thought patterns and behavior into a life I want to live, with the knowledge that if I want to change the thing, I actually can. I can. I have the ability to change my habits and embrace the healthy lifestyle I want. It’s amazing.

What was different about our nutrition program compared to diets you've tried in the past?

It’s all about breaking things down and making it easy, attractive and attainable. Having Jenny there to constantly support me and check in, even when I’ve disappeared for a while, that’s been huge. She is my accountability partner and my source of inspiration when I need it, and no other program I’ve ever tried has that.

Tell us about the moment when you realized our nutrition program was actually working to solve your problem?

It’s been a slow build, but I think when I realized that I could quit drinking soda and not be miserable was a huge moment for me. I never thought I would enjoy a life without soda (dramatic I know but replace “soda” with whatever thing it is for you). It felt GOOD to not feel so addicted to it and to happily choose something else. That was a moment that proved to me that I can do this. If I make the plan, follow through, even imperfectly, I can do it!

Tell us what life looks like now that your problem is solved or is being solved?

I am still working on all the things, but just knowing I can tackle any challenges I want with the right plan and information is so empowering. I feel awesome!

How has the accountability and support of nutrition coaching helped you stay on track?

Again, Jenny is a rockstar. Her support has meant so much.

What would you say to someone considering nutrition coaching with DeNovo Nutrition?

It is so worth it. This isn’t a diet plan or whatever else. DeNovo nutrition coaching is about figuring out your goals and helping your actually achieve them. I don’t know of any other program that offers this much support, not just in nutrition but in life and lifestyle. Do it!
