How did you discover CrossFit?
CrossFit discovered me one day at the beach and said, “whoa bro, dope biceps! You should come to a place where working out shirtless is acceptable!”
First fire academy in 2013. All of our pre-drill ground fitness was run by a few guys that owned a gym in Windsor at the time.
What draws you to DeNovo CrossFit?
I live in an RV on canal street and do a lot of “business” in the motels off mulberry. So I’m in the area a lot.
I initially liked the facility and equipment but I stuck around for the overall attitude and professionalism of the space created by the coaches and members.
What do you feel is your biggest accomplishment in CrossFit and in life?
I qualified for the games this year under the alias Rich Deboning
Honestly, I dunno. Hopefully I haven’t hit it yet!
What athlete/s at DeNovo inspire you to be the best version of yourself each and every day?
Greg. He’s a stellar example of who not to be.
I try my best not to compare myself to anyone including my younger self so I’m just happy to show up and move around with my friends and family at 9:15
What is your pet peeve?
Peeve? My dog's name is Shiner… And he’s the best.
What/who inspires you?
Gainz. Duh.
Favorite joke.

$&*%€
What advice would you have for anyone who is nervous to join DeNovo?
Strong people are harder to kill.
What do you enjoy doing outside of CrossFit, both for fun and professionally?
When my back isn’t being a real Cee U Next Tuesday, I like to snowboard and surf. Fly fishing rules but don’t disrespect my water with a spin rod. Drinkin beers on patios with friends. Hitting very old motorcycles with wrenches and acting like I know what I’m doing.
If we were sitting here one year from now, what would we be celebrating together?
At the rate I’m going, we’ll be celebrating the fact that I can sit in a chair without assistance.
Favorite CrossFit movement?
Bench.
It’s still CrossFit. I’ll fight you about it.
What are you currently reading?
This stupid questionnaire.
What are you thankful for?
My wife, my dog and my ‘58 Harley.
